Susie Lubell

Susie is a self-taught artist and illustrator whose work has been included in galleries and private collections around the world including the Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital of Palo Alto where her entire collection of watercolor animal illustrations is on permanent display. In 2015 she participated in The Women of the Book project, an international collaboration of 54 Jewish women artists which opened at the Jerusalem Biennale in 2015.  And in the summer of 2017 she was the Artist in Residence at the Artist Colony just outside of the Old City of Jerusalem. Susie has been painting and designing ketubahs since 2009. Her designs have a clean yet playful aesthetic and incorporate natural forms to maintain the look of something imperfect, hand-crafted and unique. A native of California, Susie moved with her family to Israel in 2011. You can usually find her in her rooftop studio in Tsur Hadassah, where she lives with her husband and three children.
