Ruth Becker is a self-taught artist and entrepreneur, and has been creating cut paper artworks for more than twenty-five years. She is best-known for her papercut ketubahs, which she has created for thousands of clients, and are held in private collections worldwide. Ruth’s work is clean, contemporary, and sophisticated -- complex yet uncomplicated. Balancing intricacy and structure, Ruth uses precise geometries and spontaneous, organic forms to create timeless, well-composed patterns and designs. She excels in detailed cutting and layering techniques, and has recently created a well-received series of graphic art prints, as well. Originally from Washington DC, Ruth lived in Israel for more than fifteen years before recently relocating to Chevy Chase, Maryland.
