Frequently Asked Questions
First choose your art design including, the color, the size and print stock you want. Then you need to choose the specific text you want from the ketubah text section. If you’re not sure which text you want, please discuss the options with your officiant as they will be the best person to advise you on the text category to suit your needs.
You will also need to decide if you want the text personalized (fill in by us) or unpersonalized (filled in by hand after you receive it). This is another good question for your officiant prior to ordering.
Following your order we will send you a confirmation email with further instructions for each text option you select. For example, for personalized texts there is a form that you will need to fill out and submit before the order goes out to the artist. After your form has been submitted, we’ll have the artist prepare and send you a proof to review. Rest assured, we won’t print the ketubah until it’s been fully approved by your self and the nominated officiant.
Unpersonalized orders are shipped out as soon as they are ready, without a proof.
We also offer custom text options.
The production time varies across all our designs. The Layered, Gold Leaf and Luxe Ketubahs require a bit more preparation time, but if you need them for a wedding that’s around the corner, let us know and we’ll do everything we can to get it to you in time. As an estimate we require 4-6 weeks for most personalized text ketubahs, but we can accommodate rush orders if needed.
Unpersonalized ketubahs are shipped are shipped out within 1-2 weeks, depending on the work that needs to be done post printing.
Be advised that during our busy season we have to take into account wedding dates and ensure everyone gets their ketubah in time for their wedding. So production times might be longer for some orders regardless of personalization. If your wedding is around the corner, or if you are going away for a destination wedding, please get in touch with us to discuss the options for a rush order.
We send proofs on all Personalized (and custom text) Ketubahs with the names, date and place of the wedding filled in by us. If you order an Unpersonalized Ketubah and did not ask for any edits to the wording, you will not receive a proof.
Yes. At the end of the Personalization Form, you’ll have the option to either submit the form to us, or forward it to your officiant. Click the latter option, and you’ll be able to send them the form to review. Once they submit the form, we’ll be able to prepare a text proof and send it to both of you to review.
Print stock refers to what we print your ketubah on. Many of our designs are available on paper, canvas, or stretched canvas. The paper is a fine-textured, high quality art paper. Colors have a matte finish. Our canvas ketubahs are printed on canvas, with a more luminous finish. Colors on canvas seem brighter and more vibrant. The Stretched Canvas is perfect for if you want to have the canvas wrapped around a wooden frame, so that it can be displayed at the wedding and ready to hang on your wall.
Personalized text means our artist will fill in your names, date and place of the wedding within the text itself. The unpersonalized text option means the text will have some spaces within it, and someone else will be filling the information for you after you receive it. Keep in mind that the signature lines are left blank in both options. We strongly advise you confirm with the officiant before ordering unpersonalized text as they might have a preference on this.
In order to ensure that everyone is equally represented on the Ketubah, we offer to transliterate the names of anyone who doesn’t have a Hebrew name. This means writing their English name in Hebrew letters. This ensures that there are no blank spaces in your text. In the Personalization form, where it asks for your Hebrew name, write your name. If no Hebrew equivalent name shows up, there should be an option that says, “My name was not found, please write it for me.” Click that button, and when the form is submitted, we’ll know you want that name transliterated into Hebrew.
We recommend a micro-pigment pen with archival ink. But don’t worry about having to find one – we’ll send you a pen that’s perfect for signing along with your Ketubah! If you want extra pens for backups, most stationary stores will stock the same item.
No. Our Stretched Canvas ketubahs come stretched around a wooden frame, but apart from that, we recommend taking your Ketubah to a local framer to have it properly framed with a variety of colors and materials to highlight the beauty of your ketubah.
If you want to add extra Witness signature lines or make minor adjustments to certain words in the text, we can make these changes. After you place your order, email us with your Order Number in the subject line of the email, and make the request. We’ll let you know if there are any issues with the request, or if the changes are extensive enough to warrant additional charges.
If you’re not happy with your Ketubah for any reason, we have a 30 day money back guarantee. If your order includes Personalized text, then we will retain a partial personalization fee, depending on the specifics of your order. Reach out via email and we’ll send you instructions on what to do next in order to receive your refund.

All our Ketubahs are shipped with UPS. Most of our Ketubahs are shipped in a protective tube and/or box. If you need to know the specifics for your design, feel free to reach out to our Customer Service team. Some designs are shipped flat and might not be suitable for air travel if you plan a destination wedding (including the Luxe collection, layered and stretched canvas ketubahs).
Most definitely! In order for us to get a new ketubah to you in time for your wedding we will simply need the new wedding date confirmed 30 days before the wedding. Please reach out to our customer service team so we can determine the best way to get you a corrected Ketubah. Our contact details are at the bottom of this page. Note – Please do not discard your ketubah before speaking to a Ketubah.com representative. Some elements of the Ketubah can be utilized again and this will make the process of replacing your ketubah more efficient and less expensive.

We will provide you with instructions as to how to send the glass shards directly to the artist that will make your keepsake. The process usually takes around 4-6 weeks.
Different people have different customs, but it is often traditional for a couple to stand under a Tallit which serves as the Chuppah at their wedding ceremony. A Tallit is also often used to rest on the shoulders of the couple during the wedding ceremony.
The Fabric Chuppah specifically acts as a canopy for the couple to stand under during the wedding ceremony. There are holes for you to hang it or stand it up with poles. The Tallit Chuppah is an actual Tallit, so it can also serve as a traditional prayer shawl for use after the wedding.
No – The Jewish Wedding in a box serves as a complimentary item to your Ketubah. We wanted to allow more freedom for couples to choose whichever Ketubah design they wanted along with their Jewish Wedding Shop items.

Since many people don’t wear a Tallit until they get married, the Tallit used as your Chuppah takes on extra significance.
The three boxes we offer (Essential box, Premium Box and Exclusive box) differ in the number of items included and, in some cases, the items themselves are different (eg. a different Wine Goblet, or a different Chuppah).
The mezuzah will come with instruction on how to place the shards inside the tube and seal them to ensure the scroll inside is not damaged.
No. This piece does not come with the scroll.
Shipping times are as follows: ground 5-7 business days and rush 1-2 business days. Please note, this time is after production of the ketubah is completed and does not take into account any potential delays with UPS operations. International shipping is usually 7-10 business days (but might be longer due to customs). International customers are responsible for any duties or taxes required to clear customs in the country they shipped to.
Yes. After the items are shipped to you, we will email you the UPS tracking information. UPS will advise you directly if they experience any delays with your shipment. If you have any inquiries about your shipment or need to change the address that your items have been shipped to, then you will need to address the changes directly with UPS. You can also use UPS My Choice to manage the delivery.
No. The Boxes come as a set collection and individual items cannot be swapped. Some Boxes give you a choice for the style of Tallit or size of the Chuppah. However, the items are sold individually if you wish to purchase them on their own.
Standard text is one that we offer on the website. You can see all the texts we offer by clicking on the ‘Choose your text’ tab and then click on a Text Category. Each category will offer one or more texts for you to select from and place in the cart at ordering time. Custom Text option is either a text that you have written yourselves or a text you purchased from another artist. If the later is the case, you will need to provide us with a written permission from that artist and the text needs to be emailed to us in a Word document (editable format). The option to have your custom text with translation is from English to Hebrew only, and is done by professional translators. This step usually takes around 10 business days.
