This ketubah was adapted from a marriage contract, from Isfahan, Persia, 1879, in the collection of The Jewish Museum. The text framing the design reads: “And their seed shall be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples; all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my Gd” (Isaiah 61:9-10)
