Language of Flowers M-Z Sun Print
Art By Temma Gentles
“Language of Flowers” was a system for sending messages to one’s friend, beloved, or enemy. Cyanotypes or “sun prints” are an early photographic method, often practised by Victorian women. “Blue prints” were produced for engineering and architectural purposes well into the 20th century.
Our paper ketubahs (papercut ketubahs included) are printed on cold press, acid free art paper, the standard in artistic reproductions. This paper is slightly textured and can be ordered with or without name printing.
Canvas ketubahs have a glossy look with texture and shine. The canvas can be framed behind glass or can be stretched by a framer. Our canvas ketubahs require name printing.
We offer the canvas stretching feature in house as well. When ordered this way, the ketubah is stretched by hand on a specially built frame in a style known as gallery wrap and comes ready to hang complete with a wire at the back.

About the Artist
The essence of all that I do is bringing stories to life. For the past several years my major pursuit has been Torah Stitch By Stitch, a project of profound collaborative engagement and education involving over 1450 stitchers in 28 countries. With our exhibition in place, I welcome the opportunity to return to my art practice of commissioned textiles and to designing some new ketubot.
