Description
The intricate geometric patterns and circular design evoke harmony and order. The petals grow in concentric circles that embellish the sophisticated design. The papercut pattern is complemented by the elegant hand painted colors of the background. This papercut Ketubah was inspired by ancient Mizrach designs. Around the border are two verses from Song of Songs, “I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine” and “I have found the one whom my soul loves”. It celebrates two lives that are forever intertwined.

Papercutting has been a traditional Jewish art form for Ketubah decoration since the Middle Ages. Thanks to advances in artisanal laser cutting in the late 20th century, these exquisite pieces of fine art are now within everyone’s budget. Papercut Ketubahs are lovingly produced, one at a time, to archival standards.
