Koi fishes are used to symbolize Yin and Yang in ponds. The Koi Fish (Nishikigoi) in Japan means good fortune or luck; Kois are considered “living jewels.” It is the symbol of friendship and romantic love, strength and courage. In Chinese culture, koi fish are a symbol of success and wealth. They can mean several different things: independent minded strong willed and stubborn surpassing of expectations victorious deeds.
